Yep, I do remember that. The ice was growing at a record rate when we picked the dates. I still think I would have been closer. I don’t think the satellite went bad until sometime in late December, but who knows?

I wonder if they will get the satellite working by the time the Arctic ice starts melting. One thing they didn’t explain very well is, is the the satellite data from the same satellite for the South Pole? Because that shows it has also been decreasing a faster rate in the past month than it had been.
