I attended the Mesa AZ "Mock and Ridicule" protest today at Dobson High arranged by Bruce Jacobbs and J.D. Hayworth of KFYI Radio.
Attendees gathered intially for a hearty breakfast at T G Eggingtons's on Alma School Road where Bruce And JD were on location to broadcast Bruce's morning show. Breakfast was great, I was already ahead on the day in discovering a new breakfast venue worth re-visiting. JD, being the politician that he is, circulated round the entire restaurant and shook every hand.
The intent of the protest was to mock the stimulus plan with bail out requests of our own, such as one lady who wanted bikini wax funded, another wanted free beer for his horses, etc..you get the drift..
Outside the restaurant was a group manufacturing signs to order, You told what to write, they produced a sign on a stick in two minutes flat.
We moved on down to Dobson High school where there was already a crowd assembled but most of those were ticket holding 0bama loons waiting to get in for his speech.
The crowd grew to about 1000 and the signs were many, varied, and hilarious. The lefties were outnumbered big time, probably 10 or 20 to 1, and they were not so much supporting 0bama rather than protesting Sheriff Joe and his raids to round up illegals.
Some spirited debate took place with the 0bama loons but they were outgunned mentally and outnumbered physically so it wasn't particularly good sport..
The whole event was extremely good natured. The police moved one guy on who was getting a little animated in his argument, but didn't arrest him, just told to go argue with some other folks.
0bama, of course, ducked the protest by approach from the opposite direction and turning into the school short of the protesters but that was to be expected of such a thin skinned coward so no-one was particularly surprised.

Good for you. I hope Obama and the Dims get the message about how much public support they are losing through their Commie programs.

The signs are entertaining, but some people (like the unemployed) might look on them as “mean-spirited”.
The better solution is for opponents to - for once - try to get into an event and ask a question. A video of someone getting a very “good” response from Obama would get hundreds of thousands or millions of views. Here’s a question you can ask:

Freedoms first has recently received permission to hold our protest in Washington DC. Our protest will now be held at the lincoln Memorial Reflections Pool in front of the Lincoln memorial ,on a date that will be released on feb 12 2009.
We find this very interesting because just two weeks earlier Washington told us we could no protest in DC for at least a year and a half . But the day the spendulus bill passes we get a call from Washington inviting us with a choice of dates and locations. Folks we take this as a sign that our country if starting to realise the mistake they have made with putting Obama in office.
We will have live speakers and other entertainment for you.
WE would like to see 1 million supporters attend this protest. It is time to take our country back and make our voices heard.
Why are we protesting ?
1. To get the attention of the mainstream media.
2. To demand That Obama Provide proof that he is eligible to be president.
3. To demand that Congress and the Supreme court uphold our constitution.
4. To inform the public on the issue of Obama’s ineligibility to be president of the USA.
5. To demand that they can not take our constitutional rights away.
6. To say no to abortions.
