Given California's political and demographic realities, abolishing the supermajority budget requirement by constitutional convention is probably the state's only realistic option, if it wants to avoid these annual legislative trainwrecks. But let's be clear: that would be treating the symptons, not the underlying disease--which is that California is split between a white, rural, conservative Republican bloc and an urban, largely nonwhite, liberal Democratic bloc that frankly want nothing to do with each other. I just don’t see how we can recover from the class warfare and entitlement society that the Liberals have so successfully cultivated over the past several decades.
Any mention of the fact that CA budget is way out of control, that the politicians in that state, and all over this country, are bankrupting the economy?
Our only hope is that the minority voter base and guilty white liberal base of the Dems splits the party apart with the minorities forming their own parties and the white liberals forming the Gay-Lesbian-Gaia worship Green-Communist party.

I see two ways it might happen.
1) The conversion of a large number of the ungodly to Christianity, which would instill in them a sense of a higher being and some moral fiber. That, in turn, would cause them to choose responsibility over entitlement.
2) The wholesale death of 2/3 of the population of several major left-leaning cities, by whatever means (terrorism, civil war, nuclear war).
I’m hoping for 1). I fear it may come down to 2).

The second, and far more likely under Obama, is grant citizenship to all the illegals which would give the Dems a unrestricted supermajority in California to let them do whatever they want without the Republicans able to slow it down.

Actually it is a simple divide between those that pay taxes and those that do not.

there is a caveat here.
the non whites do want the white’s money. they believe state sponsored plunder is an appropriate way to get it. that white money is a renewable inexhaustible resource like America seemed to be to America’s early pioneers.
