Not complaining about any comparisons, real or imagined nor do I really care whether Obama looks more like a chimpanzee than George Bush. I explained my view in post 45 and to elaborate...
"I'd say this is a sign of the dawning of an age of sweetness an delight!"
To use somebody's horrible, personal tragedy to make a political statement is sick and twisted. Imagine that was your mom. Imagine that was your sister getting attacked. Imagine that monkey was your dog. And now some low-life is making light of your personal tragedy to make a political statement in a political cartoon.
Listen to that lady's voice in that 9-1-1 tape and tell me you'd be fine with the cartoon even if, God help you, it was YOUR voice on that tape. And if that thought never crossed your mind when you first saw that cartoon, you are holding on to the political joystick a little too tight, pal.
Maybe you should relax and realize that “life happens” and if you don’t laugh, go with the flow and take some punches, you are going to blow a valve well before your time.
Just in case you were wondering, this was a CARTOON and almost every single cartoon is based at least in part on some truth - good or bad.
You are too wrapped up in this new PC world!
It is unclear to me why you are so overly sensitive to the plight of the owner of this vicious wild animal, and why it bothers you so much that the recent death of the vicious wild animal might be used in a political cartoon. Topical tragedies have been used in political cartoons since.... well, since political cartoons were invented.
So, yeah, we'll use their personal tragedy to make political points elsewhere ~ and maybe they'll pay attention to the warnings given about having large adult male chimpanzees living in the home.
