WASHINGTON – EPA administrator Lisa Jackson says the agency is moving toward regulating the gases blamed for global warming.
In an interview Tuesday with The Associated Press, Jackson said the agency will decide whether greenhouse gases are a danger to human health and welfare, the legal trigger for regulation under federal law.
Jackson said the agency owed the American people an opinion.
"We are going to be making a fairly significant finding about what these gases mean for public health and the welfare of our country," Jackson said.

Any bets on which way this one is going to go? They never did figure out how to tax the air we breathe so the tax the air we exhale....we are doomed.
I’m holding my breath on this one, something I advise all democrats to do as well,, It IS the patriotic thing to do, after all.

What we all exhale will be deemed TOXIC and must
be controlled at any cost.
I plan to buy a nice big truck very soon...while they can still be sold. Soon a Smart Car will be considered mid-sized.
I say ban all Democrat CO2 emissions.
Don’t light a fire in the cave, or expect SWAT to come calling.
The Northeast states are going to sue to close down every coal fire plant in the Ohio River Valley once this ruling is made.
It will go in the direction that costs the people the most, and enriches the government and their favored corporations (GE, T-Bone Pickens, etc.) the most. Count on it.
Eventually, it will determined that people breathing is hazardous to the health and welfare of other people. So.....the solution will be for all of us to hold our breath (permanently).
Obama said he was going to shut down the coal industry and that energy was going to become a whole lot more expensive. I can’t wait. /s/
Boy...I’m gonna be floored when they say they are a clear an present danger that must be addressed AT ANY COST to prevent the massive loss of life etc...Then Obama will take out an hour and a half on tv, answer scripted questions that will lead him to the pinnacle statement that say:
“Unequivocally, greenhouse gases have been proven, as ruled by the EPA, to be so dangerous as to be called a catastrophy if we do not address them in the next month. I have already instructed my, er I mean the Congress, to set guidelines for a massive stimulus package that will so severly cut greenhouse gases as to eliminate the danger for at least four years, or until my next election, which ever comes first. Let me be clear, I have consistently stated I would oppose any gases that were a threat to the American people. We must show the world that we are the leaders in clean air...can I get a Yes We Can?!?”
