I’m not really interested in the Sarah-Bristol dynamic, but it should be understood by those who care about things like abstinence education (not that any of you necessarily do, but many social conservatives do) that Sarah Palin’s credibility on political issues relating to sexual morality has been compromised by Bristol’s actions.

Bristol’s moral blindness just makes damage control that much harder, because she can’t even admit that what she did was fundamentally wrong, further undermining Palin’s ability to argue that some issues of sexual morality are accessible to natural law analysis and therefore applicable to the entire population, not just those who belong to Palin’s religious traditions.

How amazing that the children of Conservatives can impact the Political future of their parents, while the same does not apply to Liberal Politicians.

You know, like Al Gores druggie son or any one of the Kennedy children.

You keep coming back to the some point...that you 'need' 18 year old Bristol Palin to 'admit' her failure/sin/indicretion publicly for you to forgive her (ergo, her mother). You are not just interested in the 'Sarah-Bristol dynamic' you are enthralled by it. Bristol Palin's confession is of no business of yours or anyone elses.

Your moral equivalence argument that Sarah Palin (or any Pol) must be 'pure' to lead is a strawman. No one will ever meet your ideals...but that is the point...its always someone else's fault that they weren't good enough...not that you look at the big picture of where that candidate stands on true political issues not their private lives.
