Palin's teen daughter wishes pregnancy came later

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Bristol Palin loves motherhood, but the teenage daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she's not getting much sleep these days.

Bristol Palin says in a two-part interview on Fox News Channel's "On the Record" that she wishes her pregnancy had "happened in, like, 10 years so I could have a job and an education and be, like, prepared and have my own house and stuff."

Palin goes on to say that son Tripp, born Dec. 27, brings her so much joy, she doesn't regret having him at all. She's engaged to the baby's father, Levi Johnston.

The governor also made an appearance in the interview, which took place Sunday in Fairbanks.

Part one of the interview aired Monday night and the second part was scheduled to air Tuesday night.

As we know, Reagan was one of the best Presidents we’ve had.

We will never find anyone as good as long as people can't separate the public servant from the private citizen. The NYTs will find something on anyone that comes forward and the holier-than-thou brigade will gleefully carry water for them.

Can we at least admit using the term BASTARD CHILD is a little harsh??

Only if we all agree that bastardy is an undesirable condition to which to subject a child, a predicate of immoral behaviour.

If it isn’t, then no one should have a problem with the term.

Are they receiving welfare/we taxpayers paying for them? Because, you know, that’s another issue. Not something I’d say we should give those babies up for adoption so those who can’t have kids could have babies or anything. But if those parents chose to give up their kids for adoption, just like anyone choosing to give up their kids for adoption, that’s a good thing.

Please do me the favour of not putting words in my mouth. I said I would not support her if she declared herself completely without power or influence over her minor daughter.

That isn't what you said at all.

post #194 So Sarah Palin has no control over her minor children? If yes, then she’s from an alien civilisation and I can’t support her for President;...

Why post nasty comments about a girl who has nothing to do with politics whatsoever.

Bristol is a public figure. Her life has been made public whether she likes it or not. There are MANY threads in FR talking about her. Her's is a case that mirrors thousands of American teens. I see nothing wrong with discussing it as long as we aren't being mean to her or wish her ill.

But you said I posted nasty comments about her. I don't see where I did that other than to use a word in the dictionary that is clearly defined.

I see reading comprehension is a challenge.

“If yes” means if the answer to the preceding rhetorical question is assumed to be “yes,” then the following predicated is also true.

Moral perfection isn’t even considered here.

Let's not forget that the only reason Bristol Palin's life is relevant is because it's a tool for the left to trash Sarah Palin. As far as her individual actions are concerned she is just one of hundreds of thousands of young women.

Actually, we know that Bristol DOES like being a public figure, because she agreed to the interview about which we’re all talking and only informed her mother about it the day before.

She is a willing participant now, regardless of her thoughts back when mom was just Governor of Alaska.

Apparently it’s your reading comprehension, of your own words, that has failed. If ‘Yes’ then it means “she does have control over her minor children” and is therefore “from an alien civilisation and I can’t support her for President;... “

No one would be talking about Bristol if she hadn’t done an interview with Greta Van Susteren attacking abstinence.

We could tolerate a screw-up daughter, but not an unrepentant, self-satisfied one who goes on national T.V. to torpedo social conservatism.

The question is negative. A “yes” supports the negative phrasing.

Fine. You can't write a comprehensible sentence. So be it. That clarifies the rest of your convoluted thinking.

Back to Britney's panties for you or whatever it is you think is the issue of the day.

Insult is not argument.

I understand some people cannot help attributing their own obsessions onto their perceived enemies, though.

As we say, the book on Palin is still open, but you can’t pretend that Bristol has damaged Palin’s credibility on family issues.

That’s “can’t pretend that Bristol HASN’T damaged Palin’s credibility on social issues.”

I should have in my post earlier to further illustrate my point that there are parents who will beg their soon to be 18 year old(the point where welfare stops)daughters to get pregnant so that the process starts over again.

And of course, the soon to be grandmother is now happy because her daughter will continue to get welfare too.....

In no way am I suggesting this at all in this case. As unfortunate as any teenage pregnancy is, as I said earlier the Johnson and Palin families if we never knew of them could be struggling to make ends meet but their beliefs and value structure would keep them from asking for anykind of taxpayer funded assistance, PERIOD.

if I owed the whole world everything and I were down to my last dime, I wouldn’t even think about going on welfare. Would I go to my personal friends and ask for help? Of course

I like your thought process in your post. Nothing is ever black or white.....

Credibility seems to be the key word for some folks.
Wonder if St. Paul’s biography would seem less credible
as a great person if some knew he was
once Saul who threw rocks at Christians.

Guess one must be pure all the time.
