Republican Congressman Greg Walden, who once owned a classic rock radio station in Oregon, put the Fairness Doctrine in perfect perspective when he said its the musical equivalent of every time wed play a classic rock song wed have to play a polka.
And here, for your entertainment pleasure, are two videos showing you exactly how that would work.

Isn’t that an oxymoron?
Bring on the polkas. I was hoping this was a good quote but was disappointed.
Greg Walden is the one politician from Oregon that I am proud to say represents me. Every time I here him talk he makes sense. I hope he runs for Governor here. I think he could beat TaxandGougeMe who is a complete imbecile.
Why is “play the polka” an oxymoron?
Love to see the Gansta rap stations being required to play bach, beethoven and old time fiddle music. The christian station forced to run muslim and bahai programs. These pols are all brain dead.
Love to see NPR cover scientists that explain why global warming and Algore are the biggest fraud ponzy scheme ever invented, that Muslim fanatics rally want to kill us, that US forces, in Iraq and abroad, are not a bunch of cold blooded killers, and have freed 50 million people in the last 8 years, that Democrats do have to actually pay their taxes, or they will go to jail and not be promoted into high positions in the Obama administration, and that Obama was most likely not born in the US, and has not shown anybody his birth certificate.
Don’t get no better than Wierd Al Yankovic polkas..
Didn’t someone do Stairway To Heaven as a Polka?
Gotta say, I loved Weird Al doing the theme to The Beverly Hillbillys as Money for Nothing WITH cartoon animation!
>>Stairway To Heaven as a Polka?
Swing, if you will.
Tiny Tim with Brave Combo.
Also on the disc, a ChaChaCha version of Hey, Jude.
>>ChaChaCha version of Hey, Jude.<<
O.K. thank you. I’ll have to find that disk. Sounds as demented as “When Pigs Fly” which has Don Ho singing “Shock The Monkey”.
Demented can be very funny...
