I love this track.
Think HaPPy Thoughts and Sunny Skies in SoCal Sunday .. Ping..
Race thread is up.
a brief note -
I’m gonna ask that we give peace a chance on this thread.
If ya want to smack someone down over , including drivers and fellow FReepers of any fan persuasion for whatever happens on the track or in the pits, take it offline or go take a walk, Please.
The loss of civility is not a pretty thing to watch , much less have recorded on the threads. That was never the intent of the threads from the gitgo.
Thanks.
It’s like racing on an airport runway, wider as all,get out .. just watch out for the hotdog wrappers.
And falling caution lights!
lol.. lucky no one got hurt.
I just hope Kyle and Kurt give to “Junior” what the Allison brothers gave to Cale back in 69. That wreck yesterday was intirely Junior’s fault and he needs his Earnhart kicked!
How’s your motor skill reaction time at 190 mph in a car that is built and drives like a tank? ;-)
Ping for the cali race! Will be off to mardi gras so I won’t be watching. But my driver roster has been updated.
Have fun! Go 99!
Well said, my FRiend!!!!
Let’s get SOCAL dried out so we can have some racin’ and 4 rounds of golf in LA.
I’ll be watching. Thanks for the ping. (and it was 1979)
gettin' closer to Vegas!
Time flies... and so do fists sometimes. Thanks!
We need rain here, it may be a touch and go weather scene ,, fire up the jet dryers (I just hope they aren’t banned to help prevent global warming).
The least you can do is provide sunshine and a dry track. Come on...
Speaking of jet dryers my wife and I went to see the New Hampshire Sylvania 300 (fall ‘08) and it was pouring cats and dogs when we got to the track three hours before the race. When it was still raining 1 hour before the race I thought “no way”. Ha. Jet dryers are LOUD and EFFECTIVE! Btn 5 towed jet-dryers and the guys & gals w/the hand units working the “weepers” that race was ready to go. It was an impressive display or coordinated work...
I think that is the track that we got to drive our Porsche on. We were there with the San Gabriel Valley Porsche club. It was FUN.
We have been to the Houston Grand Prix and the Long Beach Grand Prix. I really like the DRIFTING cars. But it is all good. Speed is a blast! We got into Monte Carlo the day after the Grand Prix there in 1980! We want to go back and this time BE THERE FOR THE RACE!
I’ll try to behave this week. ;)
