It's called a dam break. Land upheavals happen all the time. One afternoon can change the whole contour of a Continent. We know Pangea broke up, we know mammoths died standing up with flowers in their stomachs, and we know the magnetic poles have swapped.

Can you please calculate the heat generated by moving a continent 1,000 miles in less than 6,000 years?
