I can’t see shooting up ammo right now - buy and hold. My family’s rifles are all sighted in - and we use a laser bore sight to keep scopes tuned.

Cron says he is not optimistic about the state of firearms, and believes the fear generating market sales is legitimate. I tend to agree with this synopsis.
I'm not the only one obviously.....

Quick question to all you gun-gnostics out there: what’s the best pistol for home defense, all around?

Glock (9mm, .40 or .45) or a Smith & Wesson M&P (Military & Police) in any configuration or caliber that it is made.
I prefer a 12 gauge tactical shotgun with alternating runs of slug and 00 buckshot. My next choice is the full size M&P .45 for home defense (nice big holes). Its not so much which gun (as long as its reliable), but the one that you feel the most comfortable and confident with...which takes practice. Ya just can’t buy the thing and toss it in a drawer. You gotta get out to the range and shoot it....until you’re confident with it. Practice with it until shooting it becomes second nature to you because in a time of trouble, panic sets in really quick and you’ve got to be able to just use it without having to remember every little detail about shooting the gun.

Guns are always going to be there, Everman said. It's not about "GUNS" it about freedom based upon a Constitution which totes inalienable rights and guarantee's.

I went to my local Sportsman's Warehouse yesterday and couldn't believe what I found--or, rather, didn't find. The handgun pegboard display--usually stocked with over a hundred models, was stripped two-thirds bare. There were people stacked three deep at the counter checking out the remaining handguns and rifles. Ammo was even harder to find (except for shotgun shells). Reloading supplies? Almost all gone. Virtually no brass to be had, and 80 percent of the bullets were gone.
I've never seen anything like it.

1911 or a clone in 45acp., or 12 gage shotgun w/3 # 6’s & two 00 buckshot.
