I wonder how much did MALDEF & La Raza got in the latest stimulus package?

Can they even sue? How is that possible if they aren’t even documented?

Yeah, there’s precedent going back several years that allows a US ‘person’ (MALDEF) to sue on behalf of illegals.

That was an interesting discovery made while in the service, that the definition of a US person includes all sorts of things, including corporations, that one wouldn’t think of as a person in normal discourse.

Oh yeah, they can sue. A big judgment was rendered in South Texas a couple of years ago in a similar deal. The jury down there was all hispanic. They basically took the guy’s ranch away from him.

That’s what these A-holes are trying to do—get a big judgment against this rancher and then they can take over his land. Maybe then, they will just build a highway across it into Mexico—rest stops and everything.

Here’s an article that is the perfect example for those who think ‘legalizing’ all entrants will solve the problem. They aren’t vetted by USCIS. They let anyone in except the ones they should:

They could give a hoot less about his land. This is personal. Barnett has delivered in excess of 12,000 illegals to the BP in the last 10 years or so. He's effective, and they want him stopped.

This is so not right. I feel our country is going somewhere in a ‘handbasket’ like a spinning tornado - destruction being inflicted on our Citizens, and nothing can stop it’s downward spiral.

The legislative, executive and judiciary of this country actively side with wrongdoers; i.e. criminals, illegal aliens, sodomites, druggies, abortionists, trespassers, frauds, the corrupt bribe takers, the bungled and inept etc. etc. The wrondoer has powerful allies in this day and age. 2010

It cracks me up to hear about "background checks" along with amnesty. This is always uttered very gravely and sanctimoniously.

As If.

In Mexico there are no real "records". Maybe some paper stuffed in a Federale filing cabinet, or something on a hard drive in Mexico City because someone wouldn't pay the Mordida. That's it. It's laughable to talk about it; it's nothing like the U.S. Even if the records existed at one point in time, a small payment would make them disappear, or simply be unavailable to the Yanqui investigator asking for them...as if he knew where to even go to ask.

The whole thing is a colossal joke. You could be a serial murderer in Mexico and end up looking like a choirboy to a USCIS investigator. Great deal for them!

The citizens of the U.S. have more files kept on them than the old Soviet Union, and outside of our borders, there's hardly any record keeping, at least that would be available.

And so a couple of Central Valley choirchildren turn out to be Narco-Mafia types. Whoda thunk.

That's correct. They sense weakness in the U.S. legal system that allows them to pull this stunt.

But don't disallow San Jacinto's comment about the dirt. In Mexico and Spaniard society, this is paramount. It doesn't matter to them that the hated Gringo's made something of the land north of the Frontera; the thing that matters is that they don't own it. And they understand that occupying it means they end up with it someday.

Never forget that when you are trying to understand the invasion. In the end, that is what it's about: take "back" the dirt (which was never "theirs" to start with, but that's a detail).

Anecdote: I was talking with a relative recently about all the new high rises in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point). Those are all on "leased" land - leases that aren't worth a damn. My relative laughed and said, "what idiot invested in that? they're just going to take the land and the buildings (thanks, gringos!)".

The great humiliation of the Spaniard over-class was the loss of all that dirt they thought was theirs. If it takes them 500 more years, they want it back.

Let me see if I’ve got this straight.

U.S. Citizens, Congressional legislators, Presidential candidates and many others lack “standing” to file a suit just to have Zero exhibit proof of qualifications for office of President but a bunch of wetbacks illegals caught sneaking into this country who are trespassing can sue (and probably win) a property owner for catching them and holding them at gunpoint for the immigration authorities.

I always thought MALDEF was appropriately named.

Mal = Spanish for “Bad”

Thanks for posting....and good to see an editorial from a paper “inside the beltway”

What is happening to Barnett is a travesty. His rights are the ones being violated

And groups like MALDEF and La Raza are nothing but the Hispanic Ku Klux Klan. La Raza is THE RACE (in English)....how racist is that...

American citizens need to start suing these groups...even if only to keep them busy and to make them spend money to defend themselves...that is what they do to Americans
