As a realist I recognize that human behavior is what it is. Of course I'd love to see people behaving as we know they should but given that even religious people can have a temporary lapse I say we should do everything in our power to prevent preventable diseases.

Bull. Before the sexual revolution, the norm was to remain a virgin until at least engaged. Did people have sex before marriage? Of course, but not like today.
We have normalized it. Made it all okay. Told girls that “hooking up” is cool when all it really comes down to is some guy masterbating in her vagina. We need to start pushing self respect to our girls and some of these problems would be curbed.
Just as the threat of having a baby and “working in someone else’s kitchen” kept girls from premarital sex in the early 1900s, we can push the self respect issue with our girls and make them understand that their bodies are theirs.
Coming from the 1970s when this was all beginning, I can’t tell you the amount of my friends who are depressed that they slept with a different man every weekend. I thank God I didn’t.
