An upstate TV exec who set up a channel promoting Muslims as peace-loving people was stressed about his failing business in the days before he allegedly chopped off his estranged wife's head, a friend of the couple said today.

Hassan, who founded Bridges TV in 2004 to counter anti-Islam stereotypes following 9/11, turned himself in to cops Thursday in the Buffalo suburb of Orchard Park. Police later found his beheaded wife in the TV studios.

There was a segment on this morning’s local news. Yes it has been a very low key coverage but I attributed much of that to the crash that killed 50 people on just the other side of Buffalo.
Still, very poor coverage.
You might want to shoot an email to Mark Steyn. I bet he would be very interested. If he gets it out there, the MSM won’t be able to shove it under the carpet....
The entire affair reminds me of Mark Twain’s satires of violent Southern duels on the same page as advertisements for Southern finishing schools for cultured young ladies.
I used to live in Orchard Park. It was tract houses as far as the eye can see, and a country club with golf course. Never saw no Muslims there, but that was last century, back when John Travolta was just another aspiring dancer.
This guy could have achieved the same result and avoided prosecution if he had followed the age-old Islamic method of getting rid of an unwanted wife: to wit, tell one of her relatives that they had had sex before they were married. She couldn’t prove the negative, and according to the Koran it takes the testimony of two women to equal the testimony of one man. Then one of the woman’s relatives would have offed her in an “honor killing”.

The murder occurred the same day as the plane crash. Plane crash trumped beheading. There was just a brief mention of it on the news right after it happened.
Big article on her life in today’s paper (Buffalo News. It was his third wife-the first 2 dumped him for being an abuser. He found her in Pakistan. I guess the abuse was going on for years and she finally had enough.
