Agree. IF you travel from San Diego to the State Cap. it is over 1,000 miles round trip. That is a non starter.
Also San Diego has a huge number of FReepers.
I think here are enough here in Riverside San Bernardino County area for a group, but we all might like to take a trip to Fresno sometime.
I am in Los Angeles county (Sherman Oaks). San Diego is a fairly good drive. Mind you, it is better than going to Sacramento, but it is still 2 plus hours in a car.
