All this means that now is no time for President Obama to begin dismantling the institutions President Bush put in place to keep America safe. Obama needs to recognize that, at this moment, somewhere in the world, the terrorists are watching the economic turmoil in our country -- and planning an attack they believe will bring our economy to its knees. In post-capitalist America, "pull" is the new capital. That tape represents about $100 million dollars in political "pull". The paper does not even have to mention they have the tape. Obama knows they have the tape. Perhaps the paper will be given a little extra "stimulus" money; all on the hush hush, naturally. It makes for a very subtle form of blackmail.
