Further complicating the problem is that higher temperatures could ... ignite tropical forests, potentially releasing billions of tons of carbon dioxide .. Well dang, we just need to start harvesting those tropical woods ASAP, before they all burn up. Putting them to good use is a form of sequestering their carbon content.

It has been just over a year since the Nobel-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).... With this preamble to an article you just know what is to follow is pure unadulterated crap.

Again, the crowd attending the Global Warming Conference was mesmerized.

The title should be “CO2 concentrations are greater than they expected”. The article isn’t about an underestimated global warming trends. Its about higher than expected CO2 concentrations. But that doesn’t grab headlines and government grants. They automaticly assume a connection between CO2 concentrations and global warming(hell they don’t even stick their necks out and call it global warming, leaving the door open in case we re-enter a new iceage I guess). They then go on to propose several doomsday scenarios of a very hot globe. The connection between CO2 concentrations and global warming hasn’t come close to being made. DON’T ACCEPT THE PREMISE that higher CO2 concentrations equal global warming.
