I heard about this from a colleague of mine that works for a credit union.
These people are really trying to wreck our economy, aren't they?

Welcome to socialism. This is what the big banks want and this what the USA owned banks will get.
Remember when you left your bank for a credit union because the slogan for you bank became “a service charge waiting to happen”??
Well guess what? Your credit union is going away and Mr. Service Charge Bank is now your only option.
Gov’t doesn’t need to raise taxes, just service charges!!

The credit unions avoided the crummy loans that slammed the banks and are now being penalized for their prudence. Can’t have the proles putting their money into something other than Ministry of Truth Bank.

The same thing happened in 1992 or so in the aftermath of the S&L scandal, Credit Unions had their insurance pool confiscated to pay for the Lincoln Savings and Loan type failures.

What bank would that be, i’ve had accounts in 5 different banks over the last 63 years and have never paid a charge of any kind to any of them!
