To some degree, Stewart-Haas Racing are the 5th and 6th Hendrick cars.

Now they’re talking to the open-wheel crossovers. I just can’t help feeling some of them came over because they can make more money as a backmarker in NASCAR than they could as an F1 backmarker or USAC winner. I still remember reading that A.J. Allmendinger made more money driving for Red Bull in ‘07 even with missing half the races than Sebastien Bourdais did winning the championship in Champ Car.

They were just talking to Mark Martin, and mentioned his best finish in the race is second in 2007.

He probably would have won that one if he hadn’t lifted coming to the checkered flag.
