"Did you miss their schenannigans several years ago which led to Jr. bolting to Hendrick? "

No I didn't miss any of it. Jr left because Teresa really has no interest in the racing part of the business and it showed in the cars performance on the track. Why do you think all the Earnhardt's, Eury's and others left DEI as well? [except for Kerry who hasn't been heard from except when his son Jeffrey was reprimanded just recently for not showing up for work] Jr still defends Teresa and will not get into what happened. He did take Taylor to Aspen with him, so things can't be that horrible between T and Jr.

"As for your article, Jr, would have been nothing without daddy backing him in."

I have no idea how you think that's possible, Jr didn't even get anything from Sr's will, not even his name as I mentioned earlier.

"I have never seen Dale Jr. drive so irresponsively. He proved that the NASCAR's favorite racer is not only a dirty racer, but a liar and can't own up to his mistakes. Besides his two pit mistakes. He took out his frustration on racers on the lead lap and should be reprimanded!"

Racing incidents all are liked or disliked depending on your like or dislike for the driver. In this case, obviously, you can't stand Jr. On the other hand Vickers did not need to block Jr all the way down into the grass. Jr trying to not get penalized for being below the dreaded yellow line went back behind Vickers who was loose from that drastic move to block, Jr tapped him and because Vickers didn't have the talent to save it he lost it. How many other drivers out there today were tapped front back and side without losing their racecar? A lot from what I saw. If Jr was in the wrong he would have admitted it, he always does. In this case he said what I explained above.

"Sadly, you and the rest of the Jr. nation are like Obama supporters: wearing blinders that your man could do wrong. Sickening."

That's a pretty despicable comparison IMO.

Excuse me? Teresa had no interest in promoting the success of her business? I guess she wanted her business to fail and so she held a public feud with her #1 driver. Any other conspiracy theory you want to venture forth?

For his retarded purposeful maneuver today, yes, I despise Jr. for creating a wreck that could have killed other drivers. As for incredulous belief that Vickers does not have the talent to prevent such a wreck, I doubt that Jr. could prevent his car from crashing from a hook to his left-rear.

That's a pretty despicable comparison IMO.

An apt description IMO. It would be fortunate for Jr. if somebody doesn't bash him on the back of his head this week for his retarded/bone headed act today.

Hey there. Checking back in after going through the thread!!! Thanks for posting and being the leader of our band of assorted mistrients.......

Congrats to Matt Kenseth, 2009 Daytona 500 Champion. Way to go Robot!!!

BUT.......

if NASCAR considers this the SUPERBOWL of automobile racing and if they are really committed to being fan friendly(the race didn’t officially sell out till late last night)in these tough economic times, then every effort must be made to complete the 200 laps in the race.

None of us are weather experts(although it’s a hobby of mine)if you know the rain is a real threat(after this morning you would have thought they got that memo)then adjust the schedule and start earlier......

A 3:40PM start, are you kidding me?? Start the race at 2;30 and you’ve got the entire 200 in. If they are so worried about ad revenve, I think FOX covered that with the commercials every 27 seconds, and a video about a damn gopher.....

I’m just sayin’......

As for Jr. and the incident, that’s a tough one. I take the high road giving Vickers blame for initiating contact, and Jr. for contact after dropping below the double yellow. That makes Dale a driver, not a bully who seeks intentional contact to gain an advantage.

SEE YA NEXT WEEK .!!! Enjoy racin’ in your back yard!!
