Jr had the momentum. Legal or not, Vickers got in the way.

Yeah, let's neuter NASCAR racing some more. It's not bad enough that we have crappy tires, crappy commentating, crappy car templates, and stepford drivers who only say what their sponsors tell them to say.

Vickers was in the free-pass position. If you think he should just automatically give up the spot, you probably haven't been watching NASCAR too long. Given who Junior's dad is, Junior knows that people are going to fight for a position like that.

NASCAR put the double-yellow line in for a reason, and Junior has already shown us once today that he has a problem staying in the lines.

DW gets a tingle up his leg for shrub so he’s upset. Vickers was almost out of control blocking Jr. No reason to do that.

I remember that one, too.

This was a very big block, down below the yellow line, an initial bump that slowed him, then for whatever reason Jr's momentum came right into him. Fault: bad judgment on both parts. Result: eight cars crashed, and a disappointed Shrub.

Well, you start the race with 43 guys who think today’s going to be their day. 42 of them are wrong.

Been watchin' NASCAR as long as I can remember. No, I don't expect anyone to give up any spots especially in this situation, but a block is one thing ... Vickers basically ran Jr all the way down the track. And speaking of Jr's dad ... blocking can get you killed as we all found out. It's dangerous. Do it to an extent, but this was too aggressive.
