It's another call for public service from President Barack Obama.
He says all Americans should help out in their communities. That could mean reading to children or repairing basketball courts.
The basketball-playing president taped a message for Sunday night's NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix. The White House released excerpts ahead of the broadcast. Obama's taped message will air at halftime.

And surely his avid supporters are volunteering.
Black Panthers, Move-on, all the homeless who voted for him in exchange for a pack of cigarettes.
I predict that all his speeches and tours and service prompts will fade as reality sets in that his “people” aren’t getting their money, cars, gas and homes paid for. He loves being a big shot and is taking full advantage of Air Force One and the perks of being president. I’m so sick of seeing him on TV every single night as others probably are too.
Is this a common practice for presidents to tape commercials for all-star sports events?
I thought Klintoon took care of that with his midnight basketball??
Please people he has a great idea. It is important that we give back to the community. That we do what we can to support our communities and do what will give it the best return possible. I suggest we all call our local/state republican offices and see if they need volunteers. I can think of nothing more important for our communities than the early (one term or less) for 0bama. Get out there and volunteer.
if so...the wah starts....
I will help people that I want to and nobody else.
If he's worried about people "helping the community", perhaps he ought to scold his tax-cheating Secretary of Treasury.
Not for long...
Quite refreshing, really. Especially after AlGore said that they would rise and swallow large portions of the coastline and most of Florida.

And don’t forget those Dearly Departed in cemeteries across the land who found that not even death itself could keep them from voting for The One.
Make every vote count!
It’s a shame that the audio was out of sync with the video. It was like watching some cheap Godzilla movie with the English dubbed in.
