The monthly Treasury Department report on tax receipts came out on Wednesday and shows tax receipts for the first four months of the Federal Fiscal Year 2009 are down 11% from FY 2008; and Corporate tax receipts are down well more than 40%; from $98 Billion to $54 Billion in those same four months, October through January.
The Feds are going to collect anywhere near the $2.5 Trillion they collected last year; and they are trying to double spending to $6.0 Trillion plus!

I think you are right on. In my small circle, the family business has closed, and there are about 15 unemployed people who are not paying taxes. Of course, the business isn’t paying any taxes at all. My husband has retired and we now make as much as we used to pay in taxes. It’s unbelievable that the dem’s don’t understand that they aren’t going to have any money to spend.
