My point was Hitler emptied the prisons and insane asylums by killing the inmates.
One of the problems that schizophrenics has is that they interpret the things that go on around them differently than do the rest of us. Which is also why paranoia often comes along with it.
On second thought, you'd better not tell him that.
You know that, and I know that, and at one point, HE knew that. This is often a disease that strikes people in middle age. He's now about 50 years old, but when he was younger, he graduated college with a BA in business administration, and worked for a number of years at a major financial institution. But over the years, the disease has taken hold of him, and he's no longer really capable of holding down a normal job, nor even holding a conversation with a stranger, for the most part. This is the sort of thing that does not need to be brought to his attention.

He's my cousin and I love him. I am in regular contact with his psychiatrist, and I would NEVER bring this up with him. I'm trying to convince him that he needs to file for SSI disability, because he really can no longer hold a job. He was fired from his last job as a sacker at a grocery store. It was only in the last 10 years or so that he's really gone down-hill. It's sad to see.
