The government has come under fire after banning a Dutch MP from entering the UK over anti-Islamic remarks.
Former Conservative cabinet minister Michael Portillo said by turning away Geert Wilders, ministers had made a "populist twit and bigot" world famous.
The Freedom Party MP had been invited to a House of Lords screening of his film, linking the Koran to terrorism.

Why doesn’t Wilders chill with the rhetoric, and simply take this case to the European Court of Justice? I worked in Brussels for 2 years, and the UK’s act is a clear violation. They will LOSE and have to pay damages as well.

If he had planned to denounce Christianity he would have been given red-carpet treatment.

Perhaps Wilders believes there are more important things than money. No. My point is that the ECJ can COMPEL the UK to let him in. It really is an open and shut case.

Is this what passes for conservative thought in Britian these days? That a guy showing a film linking terrorism to Islam is a twit and bigot? Right, there's no link whatsoever...

These are also the same people that denied Michael Savage from entering Britian also. It’s not surprising they denied Geert Wilders entry.
