I was listening to WJR when Greg called Frank Beckman’s show. At this time, we are blessed in that my husband is still working. I tried to call WJR several times to offer to purchase this young lady’s yearbook, but was unable to get through. I guess others felt the same and later in the show a woman called Frank and offered to buy the yearbook. Frank Beckman said he would take the woman’s info so she could connect with Greg.

On another note...last night I got a call from a charity that I like in Pontiac, Michigan, Grace Centers of Hope. It is a faith-based charity that takes NO federal money. They help people get back on their feet after bouts with addiction, homelessness and so on. They do not give handouts; people must work and/or go to school. In any event, this young man on the phone identified himself and said he just wanted to thank me for my support. He did not ask for me to consider giving more, just wanted to say “thanks”. How refreshing.

When the story aired on the local radio station about the father who could no longer afford the yearbook, a caller volunteered to pay for it. People can be so selfless and generous, it can truly be astonishing when all around us seems to be a stark disaster.

I've been there like this guy who wrote the letter. I know scarcity. I was raised by a single parent so that was my first lesson. Right now, I deliver autoparts, I used to be in IT, even CIO of one startup company. Still I do like my job, I get to learn more about cars and people I can count on to help me with cars, let's face it, we are headed to trouble and we need to learn as many skills as we can plus maybe I can make a career of it. Still it is a struggle to survive. I called Snarlin' Arlen not to vote for this turkey but he did. He and the two wenches from Maine sold us down the river. The welfare will flow to people who will just sit on their butts, drinking 40's until they are blind drunk while watching Oprah on their new HDTV's and subisized housing. Me, I watch a 1982 Zenith. I don't make a lot of money. I live at home with Mom, don't condemn me, I do my share of the chores and dump almost all my pay into the pot. I feel as long as they do that or at least their share of the load, then there are no problems of adult kids living at home.

Well, I must soon pwer down, I got a halfday tomorrow but it comes early, I'm 42, just starting middle age, but this bill will be on my back and many others.

There are times I can be a critic of Ayn Rand, but seeing this and the direction Hussein wants to take us, it is time for Atlas to Shrug.

I just received an American Flag that was flown over the US Capitol on Feb 6 to honor my dad (USMC, Korea) on his 80th birthday. It came with certification signed by McCotter. I ordered it through his office (my rep is a dem, Peters).

I was going to give it to him for Father’s day, but I’m going to give it to him tomorrow instead.
