MSNBC's Peter Alexander concludes an interview today with the president of the NAACP by noting, "The president honors this country's colored people." Nilla! Shortly afterwards Alexander apologized, which was even more amusing.
"The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and a short time ago I had a chance to have a conversation with the group's president.."

Interesting and mysterious that folks want to be called “people of color” but not “colored people.”
NAACP should change its name to NAAAAP.
I seem to recall how Ross Perot was treated when he made the same mistake.
He wasn’t given a pass for his apology.
I fully expect the liberal DBM to ignore this.
This is why I pay no attention to hem and hope that they have so fouled their own nests this year will be the last year of newspapers, network news, and news magazines. They are liars and their “journalistic product” is untrustworthy.
If they don’t want to be called “colored”, then should substitute the “C” in NAACP with something else.
The sherriff’s a niiiiiiii....!!!!
I love the smell of PC’ers tripping over their own PC’ism in the morning ....
You have the United Negro College Fund, a decidedly racist college fund . . . no white need apply. “The president honors this country’s Negro people” Ooops . . . apologies are in order.
You have the National Association of Colored People, a decidedly racist special interest group. . . no white need apply. “The president honors this country’s Colored people”
Ooops . . . apologies are in order.
We’ve come a loooooooooooong way . . . and we put a moroooon in the Oval Office.
Falling behind on his Newspeak!
Double plus bad that!
When people realized the label served a purpose and could be used without negative connotation, "people of color" came up. It's also been used to lump Hispanics and bleacks.
What about the NAAYP, or the NAARP, or NAABP or the NAAWP?
isn’t white ALSO a color?
I watched the vid. The one that appologized wasn’t even the one that laughed. THe one that laughed should’ve been appologizing too, shouldn’t he?
I believe the correct term is Colored-American
Well, since you asked ... those terms have been banned by the AAAAA
(American Association Against Acronym Abuse)
bleaks? What’s a bleak? Bleached black? Is michael jackson a bleak man(person thing)?
MSNBC did this? hmmmm....
