Judd Gregg made clear Thursday he would rather serve in the Senate than in the Obama administration, but the New Hampshire Republican said he probably will not seek a fourth term next year.
Will I run? Probably not, Gregg said at a press conference after withdrawing from the Commerce post. Gregg also told the New Hampshire Union-Leader earlier in the day that he does not intend to seek re-election.

I’m glad he realised he wasn’t really wanted in the Obama administration.
If he won’t run in 2010, it’s probably because he thinks he will lose.
Why would he not run? Is there something we dont know. Any NHshers out there?????
It is a bad thing, if true. Gregg remains quite popular in New Hampshire and would likely have won re-election barring something unusual happening.
I’m not sure what good conservatives are left up there to run. Maybe some state reps or senators? Bob Clegg seemed like a good guy, but he lost a primary election to run for the US House this past election.
Thanks for the input. Well . . .that not only just sucks but is weird. As the other poster says, what in the world is up with this? He didn’t indicate he didn’t want to run again until he pulled out of the Commerce job? It may all be nothing at all but sure seems odd.
Maybe another mens room stall sort of incident like Sen. Craig? Very strange.
“Im glad he realised he wasnt really wanted in the Obama administration.”
Maybe he realized he was going to be the “conservative business guy” face for the cap and trade propaganda campaign coming up in two or three months.
It’s one thing to pimp cap and trade bills, its another to have ones political credibility and reputation wasted on it.
ping.
Maybe...just maybe...Obama and his thugs will burn him if tries to run again if not before. His political career is over since he walked out on Obama, and he realizes this.
Certainly a possibility
The rock has crumbled and the Mass.holes have removed the freedom.
Yep, I know ... damn shame :(
Dazed & confused men shouldn’t run.
Was he Barack-rolled?

NH is trending toward being very liberal. Yankee Republicanism is all but dead, and Gregg figures he’d probably lose to Lynch.
I quite agree (with you and with the State Motto).
Otherwise, here is Before-and-After the collapse (of both, OMOTM and NH as a 'red' state)
Mark Steyn!?!?! Please for the love of God, MARK STEYN!!!
Maybe he’ll run for governor?
