Kamp found that iPS cells can become heart cells as well as embryonic stem cells can, morphing into the three main types of heart muscle cells and beating in a dish after growing together for about eight days.

Goodness, and here I thought embryonic cells were essential, reasearch being held back by the evil Republicans.

The possibilities for this are huge. Imagine being able to repair the heart without needing a transplant, or repairing the heart while on a LV pump.

Lots of less differentiated cells can be coaxed into beating in cell culture. They are not cardiac muscle cells, unfortunately.

In reality the Leftwingtards have sought to hold back research on iPS technology by diverting all the stem-cell funding to the dead-end ESC experiments.

We're probably ten years behind where we would have been without their interference. That's why Teddy Kennedy is probably going to die sooner rather than later of his peculiar brain disease.

No! No! No!

You CANNOT make ANY kind of scientific progress without KILLING BABIES!

It’s time to put science back in her rightful place! That means: KILL MORE BABIES! AND STOP DOING ANTI-SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH—i.e., research with NON-embryonic stem cells.

Great. But it won’t do old people any good. They’re just supposed to suffer and die according to Tom Dashle.
