Sorry, I have a different take. Even though it was a private donation, O will get credit for caring, NOT the people who gave it.

I'm ending all charitable giving. I know it's "unChristian," blah, blah. As long as government is getting the credit---not God---then government can do the charity. I think we need to utterly withdraw from all philanthropy as long as these people are in charge.

As Abbe Hoffman would say, we need to bring the system down. The sooner, the better.

I’m with you.
We must consider that the money we gave to Charity before is now being taken from us and given to the people who need. That is my charitable contribution.

Short of my church, nothing to charity.
