Not to mention the over 100 people killed
Plus the many who are now homeless. It's a terrible tragedy, made more so by the fact that the worst fire in a populated area appears to have been arson. However, compassion for the people affected by these fires in no way negates compassion for the animals affected.
I've lived in Southern California for nearly 33 years, so I know first hand the horror of brush fires. In all that time, I have never yet been incapable of compassion for my fellow human beings and for the creatures God made to share this planet with us.
