Thank you. I know it is impossible to separate this issue from politics due to my city being, without question, overwhelming Democratic, but there is still the issue of Americans not being properly represented. Will it without question provide a permanent Democratic addition? Absolutely; anyone saying this is not political is lying. But it is also the right thing to do.

I would only support this if the most conserative state in the union were also spilt in two, thereby giving us a new permanent rep as well.

What are you talking about. District of Columbia residence do NOT pay ANY state tax. So they are not paying tax without representation. They do pay city tax though, which is a different issue.
