While I have the utmost respect for you, a fellow FReeper, I must say that I and many other hetero, red-blooded American males came to this thread with the greatest of optimism and anticipation. God imbued us with lust. Freerepublic merely helps to channel it in a productive and socially acceptable manner.

What men often don't realize is that breast-feeding feels really good. It feels good emotionally and does great good in bonding mother and child, but it also feels fantastic physically. So when we're nursing a baby, it's not 100% altruism. I often think this is part of the motivation of some women who continue nursing their kids until the children are 4. Hard to give up that pleasure.
