"Stamping “TAX CHEAT” on the signature on the dollar bills, that’s a nice touch. http://www.taxcheatstamps.com/

I saw that website but didn't want to buy anything and definitely didn't want to be on their customer list when the feds pay them a visit."

Then use a magic marker!

I wonder what else along these lines could be done?

I think this would work......

organize at the local level first. There’s strength in numbers. Then... oh, I don’t know, maybe go visit a group of liberals protesting something and do whatever comes naturally.

I agree with the tax cheat approach but that doesn’t stop one from individualizing the message by hand. I just finished with some hand-written messages to Pelosi and Reid.

"I also ignore traffic laws when it is clearly safe to do so (and there are no cops around)."

Not to single you out - lots do it - but that's not "Civil disobedience;"
that's being a weenie.

Civil disobedience involves breaking an unjust law AND PAYING THE CONSEQUENCES.

That's what set Thoreau apart, or Socrates: they didn't hide what they did or try to escape the punishment.

Why take the chance? Send very clear pictures of tea bags, AND pitchforks, heck even torches if you like. But if people do that, make sure you fax them so they don't get thrown out or rerouted. If they got enough of them, they will get the message.

These people believe that we Americans are not bright enough to come up with right wing (as they call it) opinions, values, and views on our own, and if they silence talk radio, we will follow along like the rest of the sheep who do not listen. They refuse to accept that talk radio affirms our views, it does not dictate them. THAT is why they want the censorship doctrine.

Who is doing the work in this country? If conservatives, even 10% of conservatives, refused to work this country would grind to a halt.
Obama is very pro union, perhaps conservatives need to form a “Conservative workers union” (I’m sure he would support them /sarc) What could he do?

All of a sudden the American people are going to grow a set? I don’t think so.

I don't have to worry about growing anything....most have to learn how to use them....it's time that conservatives START

And tell 'em your name is "Sanchez;"
that works for the wetbacks...

Yeah, I tend to agree with you. Frankly, I don’t know of any unjust laws I can break, other than refuse to pay my income tax.

We’ll start there, then work up to “this federal law will not be enforced in the state of X because the legislature sees no Constitutional authority for the federal government on this issue”.

I like the way you think!

>>When you get money bearing the tax-cheat-in-chief’s signature, write TAX CHEAT on the bill.<<

My problem is that I haven’t dealt in cash money (except for garage sales and craigs list) since september. My wallet is empty except for plastic.

While Christmas shopping, if a cashier wishes me a “Happy Holiday”, I have always politely asked them “Please wish me a Merry Christmas”. They almost always smile and then say “Merry Christmas!”

Its fun and it always makes at least one person (me) and usually two people (me and the cashier) happier.

It may be a “risk” but how about setting up your income taxes so that you don’t pay a certain amount owed to the Federal Government-No I haven’t done this yet, however I am considering “protesting” 100.0/year over their Mexico City Policy Reversal.

Yes, we do have to start somewhere. My fear is that we do something ineffectual, and then sit back and feel better that we “did something” without actually accomplishing anything.

Symbolism is the realm of idiot liberals. Accomplishments should be our goal.

I just ordered one of the stamps. This could be huge if enough of us do it! (But remember, stamp ONLY the bills with Geitner’s (sp) signature on them!)

1.Don't stamp any bill over one dollar.
2.Use them in the automatic checkout lines as much as possible.
3.Use them in vending machines.
4.Put them in the church offering plate.

Why?

I see the fed refusing to accept any money that is defaced in any way after this civil disobediance takes hold. Checkout clerks will have to inspect all bill they receive to see if it has been defaced.

My understanding is that this idea is still in it's infancy, but it's at least moving forward in a couple dozen states.

I think it's a wonderful idea that needs a solid push. It puts a much more palatable spin on the old saw "Think globally, act locally".

It's time to start pestering the guys in the state houses more than the unctious sellouts on Capital Hill.

When Obama initiates his youth labor camps, I fully intend to volunteer as a leader. As a registered independent voter, I think I will pass scrutiny.

If I can work it, I intend to divide my slaves into those who support the program, those who are there because they have to and those who are actively against it.

Those who are for the program will do all the work.
Those who don’t want to be there will get a lot of medical excuses.
Those actively against it will be new recruits for some “Tea Party” action.
