Corey Hughes ‘ thyroid gland was bothering him - again. He needed medical attention, but had no money to get it. Hughes , 33, a computer programmer who lives in Rochester, has no steady job, no health insurance, no doctor.

So, when Dr. Carolyn Mok examined him June 2 at Mercy Outreach Center on Webster Avenue, not only did Hughes get necessary treatment for his thyroid condition, he also took comfort in something else: the service was free.

Henrietta Hughes also applied for a job at a local hospital, but was rejected after they saw her age, she said.

“He said, ‘What’s your age? How old are you,’” is how she characterized the interview.

She can, and probably should, sue whichever company that conducted that interview. Those questions are a violation of the ADEA, the Age Discrimination Employment Act. They are not allowed to discriminate against anyone over the age of forty and they certainly can't ask questions like that.

The satisfaction of mortgage that was filed in October 2003—who satisfied the morgage?
It looks to me as if the bank was paid by the Hughes.
But I have no understanding of this. Brain freezes

I tried to check out Corey’s Monroe Community College attendance. Yeah, came up empty again.

A computer programmer that doesn’t have a webpage, myspace, etc.??? He was fired SEVEN years ago as an IT analyst for the city of Fort Myers for poor performance and inadequate job knowledge. (Tough to get fired from govmint work.) Still doesn’t coincide will ealier stories.

I have some expertise in this field. I did a property records search in Lee County, FL (Fort Myers, Lehigh). Here’s what I found:

She and her son ‘bought’ a vacant lot from a developer. They were then steered to the Riverside Bank to secure a “Mortgage” which was a “Construction Loan” which would have been a ‘wraparound mortgage’, i.e. paid for both the vacant lot and home construction.

The house was never built, and the bank allowed them to “Surrender” the mortgage and all rights to the property back to the bank to AVOID FORECLOSURE.

The rest of the “deeds’ after that are Quit Claim and Warranty deeds that returned all the property rights back to the developer.

After doing a nationwide search of property records on a confidential database my wife uses for her business I found no property owned by Henrietta or Corey Hughes (her son).

I am not sure about any spelling. Heck, there’s even a Jorey on file, referenced back to Henrietta (who has various name spellings and ages on file).

Okay, that means the loan value was greater (probably much greater) than the price of the lot.

They never built (i.e., they pocketed the extra money), and they failed to pay on the loan, and the bank started foreclosure proceedings. They surrendered the loan and the land back to the bank to avoid foreclosure. But they kept the money. Sounds like a scam.

There was also something about selling a vacant lot for $48,000. Was it the same lot? Does that mean they pocketed $78,000? Or was it a different lot they sold?

These folks are big time grifters.

So why would Corey pay taxes on a lot he does not own. According to Lee County public records, Corey still owns the vacant lot (address is 1011, I think).
magellan, your explanation makes since. They paid 10.00 each for the lots they bought. Converted 20.00 to 124, 000. Better than Hillary Clinton’s deal.
