Won't happen. Well fed / well entertained populations don't revolt. You'd have to ban professional sports before people started caring that they weren't free anymore.

The starving/bored revolutions tend to result in something even worse than what they rebelled against.
The "We are pissed and we aren't going to take it anymore" revolutions more often come up with something fairly livable in the end... if they win.

If revolution is coming, they will legalize drugs and the revolution will take a completely different turn.
The object is to keep the public fighting among themselves, so that they do not focus on the real enemy that is causing this to happen.
