At halftime, the president — who guests said never downed a beer and ate very little — walked around with a plate of oatmeal cookies, schmoozing with Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) and others. I don't think he'd quite make it at one of our gatherings.

Speaking of gatherings, I happen to have several gallon bags of frozen catfish filets that need eating, including the 22 pound blue cat I caught on rod and reel yesterday, done with night shift at the plant.

I don't think he'd quite make it at one of our gatherings. We could always tape fruit to his head and blow it up for our own amusement, and then laugh when he freaks out and spills his latte on his loafers.
