All of this was just way, way, way too coincidental for me, especially when the markets were up to 13,000 in June (Let’s see, Market up to 13,000, 4.75% Unemployment...so what the heck was WRONG with the Bush economy?)

The problem with the Bush economy was that it was built upon rampant debt and speculation. While the blame can be laid on decisions by both parties dating to 1965 and beyond, the house of cards collapsed during Bush's watch.

The oil price spike was a factor, and no doubt manipulation by China,Iran, or Russia. The common man may never know.
