“handbasket”...rofl. This thread has given me at least a bit of humor..dow down 357 as we speak. Nice job Oboomba and Turbo Tim!
I wonder what President Bush is thinking about now.
:)
He heard Obama’s giving everybody everything, including kitchen sinks, and figured it’s time to get in line for his piece of the pie.
They’re probably going to bump fists when they meet up.
Hammer has impacted squarely on nail.

that U.S. letter of apology must have arrived in time for Valentine’s Day
Hussein will negotiate with Ahmdnutjob before he ever really negotiates with GOP senators
Isn’t this one of the guys who took US citizens hostage during the Carter Administration?’
According to the hostages, he was the leader.
The CIA would not believe them.
I cannot imagine how much these former hostages are feeling about NObama and his stance on Iran.
With any luck, Israel will turn the whole area to glass before June.
Candor7 is spot on explaining the timing of this request. Amanutjob is in serious danger of being defeated in the upcoming election and he needs Obama to bolster his candidacy. Obama should (but won’t) demand that he meet with the top cleric leader in Iran (Amanutjob’s boss). Why should the top leader of the USA meet with anyone less than the top leader of Iran?
Don’t forget to bring two new prayer rugs.
Exactly. He either weasles out of his campaign promise, or he meets with the Iranian jerk. If he meets with the Iranian jerk, then he must either include smiling photo ops, etc., or choose not to. If he does photo ops, etc., then he looks like a complete fool in front of our whole nation. If he chooses not to, then he greatly offends the Iranian jerk, and increases tensions instead of decreasing them.
yes it is,
he holds Americans hostage during Carter’s years along with mnay other things and now this idiot, I repeat DUMB ARSE IDIOT would meet with him.
I can only think what many of in the CIA,FBI,NSA think
Suppose he's not qualified? I mean, what if he paid his taxes?
Thanks
They probably are on the same page, but it would be wonderful if Bambi has set himself up for a fall on this one. His position and comments on meeting with our enemies evolved during the campaign. He repeatedly refined his stand when criticized over it. First he said he would meet with them without pre-conditions. Then Axelrod, Biden, etc. tried to back-peddle on those initial comments when they caused such an uproar. Then he said he would only be willing to meet with them if it was in the interest of the U.S. And I believe during one of his debates with McCain, he actually denied ever saying he'd meet without pre-conditions, so it will be interesting to see how he actually handles this offer.
