Sorry, this is a little hard to believe. This would backfire BIGTIME. Imagine if politics interfered with bringing people American Idol. That would cause chaos! Most people don’t know or give a crap about the stimulus but if CSI or American Idol was canceled do to sponsorship issues there would be hell to pay.

Yeah you will get the propaganda but everyone will get to keep their little dumb shows and ball games.
My approach is mass cancellations of TV service. It is the only way to break it and we let the news network know why.
Most Americans will sell their kids out if it means they can keep American Idol and college sports games, the NFL and NASCAR.
