The enormity of the rise of Islam in America is crystallized by developments that have occurred within the New York borough of Brooklyn, once labelled the city of churches. Hundreds of churches have been closed in recent years, and dozens of synagogues have locked their doors. In their place, the following mosques that have cropped up within the past three decades.

A terrorist Associated Mosque Near Site of 2012 Olympics
Jen in the UK found an interesting article in yesterday’s print version of The Evening Standard. For some reason, she couldn’t find any reference to it online. But here’s what it said:
“An Islamic sect with links to the airline bomb plotters and 7/7 suicide bombers has been warned it faces legal action over its illegal mosque near London’s Olympic park.Newham council has given Tablighi Jamaat six months to submit plans for a “mega-mosque” or risk the removal of a temporary Portakabin-style structure it has used without planning permission for three years.”
Tablighi Jamaat was followed by the 7/7 bombers and one of the 21/7 plotters.
“Last week it was revealed that a mosque it controls in Queen’s Road, Walthamstow, had been frequented by airline gang ringleader Abdulla Ahmed Ali, who was jailed on Monday for a minimum of 40 years for plotting to bring down seven transatlantic planes.

Al-Qaeda-linked New York jihad plotters tried to rent a U-Haul truck

Suggesting they wanted to pack it with explosives...Investigators probed a failed Queens truck rental for ties to a possible Al Qaeda bomb plot yesterday as a chief terror suspect tried making a deal to save his skin.
The New York end of the expanding federal probe centered on seven Afghan men who tried to rent the biggest truck at a Queens U-Haul on Sept. 9, sources told the Daily News. The size of the vehicle involved - a 26-foot-long truck - suggested the conspirators wanted to pack it with explosives, sources said.

Muslims in Colorado Uneasy Over Terror Inquiry

AURORA, Colo. Djilali Kacem tugged at his beard and surveyed the warehouse of Islamic books he helps oversee near Denver International Airport. The government should know better by now, said Mr. Kacem, an imam at a local mosque. It has been eight years since Sept. 11 and our government still overacts sometimes when it comes to Muslims.
