Collins, too, on Today. I was left thinking (after hearing it on the radio) who would ever vote for this moron? Cloture means that they now just need a simple majority in the Senate and then the House can replace all that Dem pork that was removed in the Senate. Then the House votes on it. Our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be wondering why we all thought the USA was the best place to live. By the time they are adults, the USA will be just another Socialist country and as miserable as all the rest. Taps anyone?
I feel sad that the Republicans have such senior senators that don't have a clue, but I guess it says a lot about how left Pennsylvania had gone over the years.
I didn’t get to hear him on Hannity’s show today—had to leave before he came on. Heard Steele though—basically he was saying that Specter, Collins, and Snowe are putting themselves before country. I guess it’s not surprising. It is a shame though when someone has been in the Senate as long as Specter and is as old as he is and he is still putting himself before country. At this point in life, you would think the man would just do what is right. Maybe he doesn’t know how to at this late date.
I listened to that segment. Hannity took the fire to him, and Specter babbled on about the bill being the least of two bad options, that he preferred McCain’s recommendation $400B will tax cuts and mortgage assistance.
My question to the obviously congnitive-failing Senator is “why don’t you stand tough and try for something closer to the McCain idea?”
I think it failed in 1964.
How else can you explain how stupid he sounded.
As far as I can remember, he's always sounded like that... oh might have a touch of dementia now, but in his case, it would be hard to tell the difference.
This brainless idiot should joing mcpain in helping the ‘progressive’ party by joining them in more than just how they are....we should boot both of them out of Washington Doesn’t Care!!!!
Sounding stupid on Hannity’s show? That isn’t too hard to do.
I’m so tired of hearing on this website that we feel SORRY for these people! It was said last night about Zero on the press conference thread. I feel sorry for my wonderful Country that’s being taken down NOT these power-hungry traitors!!
I heard him too. He should not be in the Senate just for health reasons alone, not to mention his RINOism. When Hannity asked him about the debt on his grandkids he said, well, I will tell them we made the best choice at the time, February 9, 2009.
Scotch.
Lots and lots of Scotch.
