Fortunately, Barry struck the chopper in a place which will cause no damage -- his head.

Even better, this appears to be about the only bang the Great One is getting out of Porkulus Maximus spin trip.

Gerry Ford was hounded for the rest of his life over this kind of thing. Dan Quyale misspelled one word, and heard about that forever. Maxine Waters says we landed on Mars, and it is gone the next news cycle.

Don't ever tell ME the newspeople don't lean way left.

(I have yet to get tired of this photo!)

“Hope and change - hope and change - ‘BONK’ - hope and change!”

You are right, no real difference.

Our president, Steve Urkel seems to be quite clumsy. Last week he was trying to walk through a White House window.

Dan Quayle misspelled nothing. There are alternate and accepted spellings. He got it right.

And it was Sheila Jackson-Lee who thought we landed on Mars.

Maxine Waters does her investments at Solomon Barney Frank.

Where’s Gerald Ford when you really need him? Is Chevy Chase still alive?

The funny thing to me about all that is that Gerald Ford probably was one of the most accomplished athletes to serve as President. I’ve read that one of the reasons he was photographed so often falling on the ski slopes was because, as an advanced skier, he didn’t think it was a big deal— he thought it was well known that skiers fall. I’ve read that it really bugged him to read the jokes about his clumsiness from reporters and pundits who probably couldn’t stay upright on skis on the bunny slopes!
