UK: Struck off, Christian foster mum who let Muslim girl convert (didn't prevent conversion)

A foster mother has been struck off the register for allowing a Muslim girl in her care to convert to Christianity.
The woman, who has looked after more than 80 children in the past ten years, is considering suing the council over the decision.
Although she is a practising Anglican, she said she had put no pressure on the girl who was baptised last year at the age of 16.
She said social workers had also raised no objections to her own attendance at church.
But officials insist she failed in her duty to preserve the girl's religion and should have tried to stop the baptism.
Last April, they ruled that the girl, now 17, should stay away from church for six months.
The foster mother's removal from the register followed in November.
(edit)
Of the Christian convert, she said: 'I did initially try to discourage her. I offered her alternatives.
'I offered to find places for her to practise her own religion. I offered to take her to friends and family.
'But she said to me from the word go, 'I am interested and I want to come.' She sort of burst in.'
The woman said it had never occurred to her that she would be axed from the register.
The move has stripped her of her sole source of income, forcing her to downsize to a one-bedroom flat.

The brave girl recognizes that other religions approve of much more freedom and less violence than Islam. As a small girl, she may have even recognized that love and tolerance are much more freely given outside Islam.

And various Western political entities are doing all they can to help them while doing all they can to oppress Christians.
Mike Judge, a spokesman for the institute, said: 'All people should be free to change or modify their religious beliefs.
'That surely must be a core human right in any free society.
'I cannot imagine that an atheist foster carer would be struck off if a Christian child in her care stopped believing in God. This is the sort of double standard which Christians are facing in modern Britain.
'In recent months we have seen a nurse, adoption agencies, firemen, registrars, elderly care homes - and now a foster carer - being punished because of the Christian beliefs they hold. It has to stop.'

I have no doubt that the girl witnessed and was the recipient of a tremendous amount of love under this good woman's care.

Words fail. Indeed....how can ANY court rule that a law-abiding child be forced to stay away from Church? Astonishing.

“Muslims are testing all of us, their starting point is Eurabia.”
In this case it’s hardly the muslims’ fault - it’s the spineless city council!!! They’ve been totally deballed.

I agree totally with the statement that (old) Europe is cowardice when it comes to TROP.

How was the foster mother to encourage the girl to stay in Islam? Threaten to stone her?
I suppose by the authority’s rules, that would have been fine as long as it didn’t go beyond a threat.
For a right and proper stoning, the apostate girl should have been returned to her father. Oh wait, she has been, huh?
Her bloodied corpse to found in the gutter in 9, 8, 7...

Utter twaddle. Since when has faith been hereditary? Whatever became of freedom of religious expression?

I am no longer astonished by any article chronicling the utter collapse of British reason. It’s sad. Someday society will use Britain as a textbook example of an empire that killed itself.

England has become politically preposterous. They started with passive acceptance of all religious expression in a sense of good-will towards all (much like us). Now the Church of England bows to a foreign religion, penalizing those who don’t also bow down. Elizabeth I is most certainly spinning in her grave!

You know, I've thought about something else.
What kind of danger has the foster system put this young lady into? They take her out of a Christian home, take her away from her Church Family and then advertise the fact that she converted. They have to know how the muzzies react to women in general, forget a woman turning her back to the almighty islam.
This girl could use a prayer ping. Heaven help her if those animals get hold of her.
