Yeah,, the shooting school culture changed “Accidental discharge”, into “Negligent Discharge”. Sorta like illegal alien turned into undocumented immigrant. Still talking about the same thing, but just started using a different word. Like the way “Commandos” became “Operators”. My mom was an Operator back in the 40s. Used to say “Number please” and connect your call.

A negligent discharge is caused by either ignorance or carelessness. The person can be considered ignorant, if they have not been trained. They are careless, if they disregard their training.
