I don’t know what he is doing, but before we send any more troops to Afghanistan, we need to set an end game strategy and figure out the larger problem which is Pakistan.

Obama doesn't want and 'end game' strategy.

He wants an 'exit game' one.

He's not asking how to win. (otherwise he would go along with a 'surge')

He's asking how to exit.

Yeah, and at this point I don’t know if Obama is actively working for the Islamists, or is just so utterly clueless that he really believes they have no ill will towards us.

I am certainly not an Obama fan, but as opposed to and “End Game Strategy” we need to define the objectives. Secretary Gates said it best the other day when he said “If you set your objectives beyond anything other than prevent Afghanistan from being a launching pad for terrorists, you will certainly fail”. Gates is very mindful of Afghanistans history with foreign armies and what we do theere and how many troops we send must be focused on that objetive alone. We aren’t going to make their corrupt government honest. We aren’t going to make their farmers quit growing poppy’s. We aren’t going to make their population literate and we aren’t going to create some new natural resources. We need to get the Tribal leaders on our side and the best way to do that is “buy” their allegiance.
