“Black President, White Fears”
February 8, 2009 - by Ruben Navarrette Jr.
It seems to me that Mr. Navarrette shares Obozo’s resentment of whites.
Yes, there was discrimination toward Blacks & Hispanics. But this should be taken in historic perspective.
Government miss-treatment of the white population in the Deep South during Reconstruction, cemented bias toward blacks (and Northerners).
Governmental miss-treatment of the white settlers in Texas brought about the Texas War of Independence from Mexico. That cemented bias toward some Hispanics in Texas. (note- there were also Mexicans who fought for independence then.)
Yes, it still exists in some places, but it is a reciprocal thing. And much diminished in the white community.
Black racism appears to be on the rise since Obozo’s election.
Yup...many view this as payback time.
Someone needs to remind those racists idiots- the clown in chief too- that white Americans have done more to help blacks and hispanics than they ever have done to help themselves.
