To: the OlLine Rebel

I couldn’t edit something someone else wrote.

You would think, however, the paper would have done some editing, but then considering what’s working at editorial desks these days there’s no surprise.

I know you didn’t do that.

Somehow I don’t think papers edit. They can’t even write things THEMSELVES that are correct. (Things really went downhill with the PC and word processing.)

In the old days if a piece such as this was printed, it’d be full of “(sic)” to show the reader that it a) wasn’t their fault and b) it’s not the correct way to write something. Double job, which probably helped keep people in line about grammar.

But enough complaining off-topic....
