Yes he had to show he had “surge too”. Just as he had to show he had “bracelet too”. ;)
But actually 0bama first said he wanted a surge back in July when he went to Afghanistan.

yes, he also said back then that if Pakistan didn’t take care of business we’d go in there and do it wiithout them,. Wonder if the Pakis will respond to a US Executive order?
I think mr. obama is clueless, the most clueless military leader we have ever had
He has surrounded himself with war experts from the Harvard faculty and blown off Gen Petraeus and Robert Gates by calling them into his office and dictating to them. The Cinc US is the SinK us- he is on “transmit only” and not just with the military
At least now he has an Air Force One spiffy ride and a jacket to prove he’s the MFWIC-
he’s on his way to building a real command presence

The War is over and we are running like children.
I understand that. Also understand the difference between serving a nation and a cause, not a man.
Stay safe.
“...who in their right mind would serve?”
I have heard that a number of officers will be getting out, resigning their commissions and calling it quits. Dito for a lot of the rank and file when their enlistments are up.
“This jackass is going to get thousands of Americans killed on our home soil.”
Tragically, so very true.
“I notice the Russians feel free to do as they please all over the world. It is obvious they do not respect Obama and do not see him as being able to do anything to curb their plans.”
The Russians saw this weak doofus for what he was from Day One.
Maybe some, but don't count on a lot. Michelle Malkin published this email the day after election day. I wrote that email. I still stand by it. And I still don't know anybody planning on getting out.
“And I still don’t know anybody planning on getting out.”
I do.
The Pentagon was set to announce the deployment of 17,000 extra soldiers and marines last week but Robert Gates, the defence secretary, postponed the decision after questions from Obama.
