You didn’t even read the article, you just wanted to hijack the thread.

“I doubt that American kidnapping and sex slavery of 11, 12 and 13 year old girls is what drives AIDs.”

On the contrary, I agree with what most of the posters were saying, and indicated as such in a response to another poster.

Homosexuality and drug use ARE the major contributing factors in the spread of HIV. HIV is a preventable condition when folks choose not to engage in dangerous and risky behavior. I don't have any sympathy for people who willingly walk into the lion's den and then cry when they are mauled or bit. It's not a surprise, either, that the black population is experiencing a disproportionate share of documented cases; urban inner cities are places were these activities thrive. Personally, I'm not very interested, either, in throwing more money at the problem for people who willingly engage in dangerous behavior.

The point I made, however, is valid. There are young people who, through no fault of their own, find themselves living with this disease. That is why I reminded folks to have "a little heart." Our natural response is to presume that because it's a preventable disease, only the guilty can get it.

That is not true.

Two other folks besides you responded to my post, and I responded to them. Hijack the thread? Hardly.

Look at the thread; there were plenty of people singing in the "let them rot" choir.
